Granfondo Serra da Estrela offers the opportunity for all cycling enthusiasts and lovers to experience the emotions and challenge of high mountain stages in the only destination with these characteristics in Portugal. Arriving at the mythical top of the Tower, 1993 meters above sea level, is always magical and marked by strong emotions.

Vila de Manteigas will once again host this 8th edition, where the entire headquarters of this event will operate. The city of Seia will be another important landmark of this challenge, framing the passage of all participants, before going through the spectacular south face of Serra da Estrela, before the final ascent to Alto da Torre.

The Granfondo Serra da Estrela runs entirely in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, visiting some of the most emblematic places and landscapes of this protected area. Thus, the effort to overcome the longest climbs found in Portugal will certainly be offset by the environment and the images of the only high mountain scenery in our country.

Athletes who do not intend to face the greater challenge can opt for Mediofondo, being a great option for those who want to have a first experience in conquering the Alto da Torre
